Another Great Weekend at MCI

This was the third weekend in a row where the Caps, the Wizards, and the Georgetown Hoyas all played at MCI Center.  And for the third weekend in a row–we were undefeated at home!

On Friday night, the Caps took on the Toronto Maple Leafs before a big crowd, and they won 4 to 1–in perhaps the most physical game of the year. It was like old style hockey–up and down the ice—lots of hitting and the Caps young legs won out over a tired veteran team. I hosted a nice young couple at the game.  The husband blogs pretty regularly about the Caps – check out his blog here.   On Saturday night, the Wizards beat the Atlanta Hawks, climbing back to within one game of 500.  The team has four more home games this week – a great opportunity for us to pull back into contention for the division title.   And on Sunday, Georgetown (now ranked 17th in the nation) defeated a really tough and talented Pittsburgh team.  The Hoyas have now won 6 games in a row.Georgetown men’s basketball is back!
