The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Good – On Friday night, at the MCI Center, the Washington Wizards defeated Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 101 to 89. The Wizards went on to complete a 5 for 5 week by beating the 76ers on Saturday afternoon. The team is really starting to gel, and we are one of the few teams in the NBA that can legitimately boast about having a three-pronged offensive attack (Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison, and Caron Butler). The team is in great shape as we head into the All-Star break.

Goodmail Part 2

Last week I posted about Goodmail.  My goal was to try and clear up some of the misinformation that is floating around the internet.  Fortunately, AOL seems to be making a fair amount of progress in getting the facts out to people, but I’m the first to admit that we still have a ways to go.

Let me say this again: 

Goodmail is an option for businesses and organizations.  It is not a requirement.  As long as they don’t violate our spam filters, companies who choose not to participate will still be able to send email to our members. Consumers do not, and will not, have to pay in order to send or receive email. AOL is making this option available because members and email senders asked us for exactly this type of service.  Consumers wanted a way to be able to easily locate and distinguish emails they’ve asked for, while organizations
