  1. Sleek technology :) but that would mean a huge advantage over other nations who cannot afford to invest in this advanced R&D. What happened to the good old days where your shorts didnt make a world of difference.Nice blog this!

  2. No, I think Ted’s got something major here. Think about it.. he can be the guy who brought tight uniforms to the NHL. Imagine that?! (I’m only half joking)

  3. Did you see the human interest piece on the father and son who BUILT the son’s ski????It was chilling and good.He used them, there in the Olympics. Can you imagine?

  4. It’s good to see technology breaking down physical barriers but let’s not forget what all those Rocky movies have taught us:All is takes is throwing some stones and climbing a mountain with logs chained to your neck and you can beat anyone…even the Russians;)

  5. I’ve always wondered why the NHL uniforms were still so baggy. Not only do you get increased aerodynamics with a tighter uniform, you also limit your opponents’ ablitity to grab onto you. Look at how the NFL players use double-sided tape to reduce the amount of “grabbable stuff” on themselves. Of course, the down-side of tighter jerseys in hockey would be the inability to pull the shirt over the opponents head while whacking him during a brawl… which is always fun to watch.

  6. I like to watch two grown men sledding as much as the next viewer… but would the Winter Olympics not be like 1000000% better if they were anchored by NFL-style football?Tell me that football in the W.O. is not a better idea than anything put into your ear by people you are no doubt dropping 6 figures on.I should get a link on the side for that–>

  7. I agree, the HD broadcasts are amazing! I just wish NBC would choose to show a little more diversity in their coverage. They seem to primarily focus on a few American “super stars”, and I think are missing the true International flavor that makes the Olympics what it is.
