I just got home from a weekend with my family in Vero Beach, FL, one of my favorite places in the world. I moved there in 1981 to start my first business. It is where I met my wife, it’s where our children were born, and it’s where my father lives. Great weather, nice people, beautiful beaches, and incredible golf courses. It really is a little bit of heaven right here on earth.
By Vero Beach, do you mean Windsor? If so, Vero is an excellent place to visit/live. The town and beaches are incredible when hurricanes aren’t destroying them.
I moved to Vero 11 years ago and wanted to work for Redgate. Instead my wife and I moved to Boston (Consulting&Biotech). We recently returned to Vero (always knew we would). It’s still beautiful but I was shocked at the development. Please put some energy into preserving our natural landscape. Thanks
Florida certainly is an excellent vacation! Too bad I am 2700 Miles away from there, as an alternate I go to CA, which is only like 500 miles from here. (Arizona)
Hope your dad is doing well! Anywhere in FL sounds good today!
On the Olympics – not to mention that I don’t even LIKE some of the American athletes. I had never heard of Johnny Weir before and after the first interview I saw with him, I totally disliked him. I was not sorry to see him fall from second to fifth. Then there’s Shani Davis, who would probably rather be skating for any other country than the US.But the hockey, I think, has been good. Thank goodness for TiVO.
I couldn’t agree more. Great place to visit or live.
