Goodmail
There was a lot of misinformation floating around this week about AOL’s partnership with Goodmail Certified email. Some people even claimed that the program would force non-profit organizations to pay to have their emails delivered.
To help clear up this confusion, yesterday, AOL announced that qualified non-profits will never have to pay to send their emails to our members. We know that many non-profit organizations depend on email as a way to raise money and communicate with their members and supporters, so AOL has decided to pay for the optional third-party validation process for those organizations.
Goodmail’s certified email program can be a valuable tool for companies, organizations, and consumers, and it will help lower instances of spam, phishing, and identity theft. By providing this service to non-profit organizations free of charge, AOL ensures that everyone – businesses, non-profits, and, most important, our members – wins.
