On Tuesday night, I was honored to be inducted into the Greater Washington Sports Alliance Hall of Champions.  The Foundation is a terrific organization that encourages physical fitness – and uses sports to help build character and leadership.  I am proud and flattered to be included among their champions.

It was fun to be back in the Verizon Center watching a Caps game last night. Thanks to Verizon Center management for installing new glass around the ice – it is great to have such a clear and unobstructed view of the ice from the stands.  Welcome back Alexander Semin, who I thought was the best player on the ice last night scoring a goal, controlling the puck, showing great moves and skill throughout the night.

Since Friday, I have received almost 3400 emails, mostly notes from friends, business associates and AOL employees commenting on the news of my change of career plans.

I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of affection, and I apologize if I have not been able to personally respond to each of you.  I hope you understand. But please know that I appreciate your thoughts and emails and that I love you back.
