I have the same kind of severe nut allergy as Tom Poti. I too carry an EpiPen injector with me everywhere I go. It has saved my life on two separate occasions.
By the way, nice work on the new analysis by Japers’ Rink on points per minute et al. It is amazing to me how much work the bloggers put into their posts and analysis and how well the community of fans reacts to this research. I find it entertaining and smart.
Statistical analysis related to NHL is indeed starting to take off, and while entertaining the blog readers is certainly a lofty goal, what I wonder is how open the teams would be to this sort of analysis, and what issues they see value in researching.
As seen in baseball over the last decade or so, good statistical analysis can help provide a competitive edge to the forward-thinking team.
