New Design Works for PodShow
Check out the nice, clean, new design for PodShow.com. It is newly organized into channels and feels somehow more familiar and comfortable. There are more than one million hours of programming here for the taking and sharing. PodShow is growing fast and many consumers are thinking of it as a one stop shop of multi-media resources; a way to self express and share; and, of course, a way to find podcasts and load up your iPod or other device.
One Million People
We have almost hit 11 million RMB in box office sales in China which means more than one million people have bought tickets to see Nanking the film. This translates to about $1.3 million US dollars so Nanking is selling briskly outside of the US. We open in US theaters on December 8th.
Something in the Air
I concur with this post from On Frozen Blog. Last night, I attended a season ticket renewal event at Verizon Center with Boyd Gordon and Brooks Laich. We mingled with a dozen fans that represented about 50 seats. We talked one on one with the fans and the excitement and anticipation for the new season is really high. I believe all of the folks who attended last night will renew their seats for the coming season.

It was interesting to hear both Gordon and Laich talk to fans and say how hard they have worked this off season because they know how much talent will be on the ice and how hard they will have to put out to earn "minutes". Minutes are now a currency for the players and how Coach Hanlon has now raised the bar on his personal expectations for each player. It was also interesting to hear both players talk about the leadership of Chris Clark and how he has organized the off season practices; his calls to players; and the demands he is making of each individual. The players talk about how they have personal knowledge of each other’s games now. Laich mentioned how he had now played with Gordon for a season before the lockout, during the lockout and two years in the NHL. He is only 25 years old and he has played now for four seasons with his teammate. We also had an opportunity to view the build out of the new scoreboard and HD screens at the Verizon Center. Wow. All I can say is that they look massive and my bet is the puck –on HD — will be the size of a football on these new screens.
