The media reception has been very strong to this new venture. We are happy on the consumer reaction as well.

Suffice to say that immigration control back in the early 1900′s wasn’t what it is today. As I have been working on my late dad’s estate, I have found our last name listed as Leoutsakos, Leoustsis, Leonsis and Leontsis. And his brother in the US is named Stanley Lewis.

 I have found birth records with the dates of 1912 AND 1913. I also discovered that my dad received a citation and commendation from the Navy for his service on the USS Bunker Hill.  Evidently he was a gunner and munitions expert on planes. He could disable a bomb that didn’t make it through as payload after the plane had landed on the ship. This from a man who I remember was afraid to drive at night. He served two 4-year terms in the Navy and was in very heavy action in the war with Japan. We are now losing WW II vets at a rate of 1,000 per day. I also found that he had saved literally every note, drawing, painting and card sent to him by my son and daughter. And he kept receipts from stores for purchases dating back to 1961. It is amazing to track one’s life through their files.

Our media strategy of ubiquity is taking shape now. This is good news for all.

As I noted in a discussion on our recent additions to the team, they give the coach "optionality".  Kozlov can play center and forward. He can play on the power play and is good in the shootout. He can also skate the puck into the offensive zone and set up the play. Nylander can QB our power play. He is working with Backstrom on a line and they are inter-changeable and both focus on puck possession. Nylander is skilled in shootouts. Backstrom seems to be a budding great all-around player with soft hands; great intelligence; and a very responsible defensive game. The coach is playing him 5 on 5; on penalty kills; and on the power play. Tom Poti plays good defense and is very good on the power play too. I think we have added four new players to the line up that can do many things. Our front office did a good job in making credible additions that improve the team in areas where we need it most and which give our coach a lot of weapons to consider.
