florida out of it by december? their biggest problem last season was goaltending. they finished 6 points out of a playoff spot. they added vokoun and horton/weiss/bouwmeester all get older. if anything i’d say they make the playoffs or narrowly miss (again).

Atlanta’s the defending division champs, and Carolina and Tampa have recently won the Cup, the Caps have by far the best player in the division and he picks Florida?
My prediction, the Panthers will be out of the playoff picture by December 1st, and at the trading deadline they’ll be auctioning off Olli Jokkinen (who would look really good in a Caps uniform, by the way!)
