Thanks for the roll call and we appreciate your business. Ticket sales are brisk for the opener although I do not think we will be at a sell-out situation, sad to say. I really appreciate you all coming out to the game. We will have a great and enthusiastic crowd. It will be a fun atmosphere. Wear red!
Thanks for the roll call and we appreciate your business. Ticket sales are brisk for the opener although I do not think we will be at a sell-out situation, sad to say. I really appreciate you all coming out to the game. We will have a great and enthusiastic crowd. It will be a fun atmosphere. Wear red! We have now sold more than 1,000 new season tickets compared to last year so growth is pretty good. We are marketing and selling like crazy. I am hopeful we can be one of the fastest growing teams in the NHL this season and, if the team plays well, add to the momentum during the season. We did NOT hit our goal of 90 percent renewals. We will finish by Saturday night at about 85 percent renewals which is above league average and some of our best stats for a season but still NOT at our goal of 90 percent. We will keep at it. We will break the code one day, I promise.
Some day, Caps tickets will be a hot item. However, I fear that will only happen when the team is consistently winning and the bandwagoners decide to jump on board. That your marketing department has been able to do so much given the team’s past record is impressive.
Saturday just happens to be the 6th anniversary of the Caps’last home-opener sell-out – the Jagr debut against the Devils. Dare we hope….
