Harry: a CSN representative told me directly that they have made CSN+ available to Cox at no additional charge and Cox has declined. She said Cox would be welcome to carry the channel while negotations continue and can choose to pick it up at any time. In the Cox form letter, they have stated they will only agree to carry CSN+ if they reach a renewal agreement with CSN. All other area providers carry CSN+. Does that answer your question?
Kevin: I, too, do not have options available at my home other than Cox. Who would have thought we would need satellite to watch local sporting events???
Thank you for your continued efforts.
I just called Cox to register my complaint. They reiterated that negotiations were ongoing and reminded me that 80% of the Caps games would be covered. I let her know they were 20% short.
Any information available as to which party is being unreasonable?
Tell Cox to get on the ball and get CSNHD as well. I was hoping that they would have this by the season opener. And they just send you form letters when you ask them about it. Hockey in HD is the best way to grow the sport although the best experience is to still show up to Verizon Center for the games. Go Caps!
This sucks. Cox is the only service I can get. I have too many trees so DirecTV or Dish Network won’t work, and Cox has a monopoly on the cable market in Springfield. If I could get anything else I would, I guess I’m stuck.

Ted, can you get AOL to webcast it for us?
