I am reading a very interesting new book called "Green to Gold" by Daniel C. Esty and Andrew S. Winston. The book basically posits that a good environmental strategy is key to a good business strategy.

Our fans thank you and we all read and enjoy your blog as well. I wanted to add some comments on the article though because I do think it misses some of the points of why we have led in the creation of a blogosphere. Every single newspaper, magazine and local TV station that covers us as a team is shrinking; losing readers and viewers; shedding advertisers; and cutting budgets. It has nothing to do with the quality of the work being done. It is just because the world has changed; the consuming audience has changed; and the way media is delivered has changed. We live in a world of consumer choice and control and when a consumer wants deep subject specific information, they can now find it on any subject they want. Also, I do question some of the mainstream media and its programming choices and how it creates self-fulfilling prophecies in how it allocates its dwindling resources on some matters and ignores others.
