I caught some of the Jerry Seinfeld shtick on NBC last night as I watched The Office. I didn’t find any of the little vignettes produced for NBC funny at all. They may work online but on broadcast television, I thought they were slow moving and beneath the world class humor Jerry is famous for as an entertainer.
Perhaps they will help sell the film but to be honest, I think they will turn off grownup fans. We shall see if the experiment works but this kind of synergy left me cold and having no interest in seeing this film. It can never live up to its advance hype which started back in May at the Cannes Film Festival.
