Our first four picks from the 2004 draft all played in Atlanta last night. I would say this was a productive draft for us as a franchise.
Any draft where you get Alex Ovechkin, or a player like him is a successful draft regardless of who else you get. That the Caps also landed two solid defensemen and a chap who could add some spark to the offense is a tremendous bonus.
Kudos to the scouting staff, to George, and everyone for making that happen!
