Good Game But Only One Point

I am sorry the game wasn’t televised last night. It is the only game NOT to be aired by Comcast for us this season. By all accounts, we played very well. The lines were re-juggled and we outworked and outplayed Atlanta. We ended up with a standings point but an OT loss.

  1. It’s definitely been a tough stretch. No bounces and lopsided penalty calling. If they can keep their heads up, things will start clickin’. I’m coming from Powell, WY for the 19th & 21st home games, I hope the turn around has started.

  2. I think you should point out that even if Comcast wanted to broadcast this game – they couldn’t. Why? Because the commissioner you and other owners keep employed has put together a very stupid TV contract. Versus now has “national” games in which all other US games are blacked out. This was the case during the Thrashers game. Somehow the casual hockey fan doesn’t watch hockey because there are too many game choices, I guess. And Caps fans or Stars fans or Ducks fans or Flyers fans have to suddenly become interesting in games like the Rangers vs. the Islanders. Great way to promote the game!

  3. Truly building a winner takes time. Ted, thank you for your dedication and hard work. We will see the results we are looking for before too long.

  4. If we beat the Senators, that could prove to be quite the motivational sparkplug. Alas, only a foolhardy optimist like yours truly could reasonably think we have any chance against Ottawa.

Will be at the game Saturday night. We REALLY need to win that one. Here’s hoping I don’t get muzzled by the ushers again…

  5. Ted: do something! Please! PLEASE!

P.S. Can you get Ovie signed so he doesn’t tell Russian press he doesn’t know where he’ll be next season? Thanks.

  6. The caps are in dead last place. No other team is worse.

I suppose the only good news is that we can only rise in the standings.

The bad new is that I have season tickets. I get to keep watching.

  7. It’s always darkest before the light. I’ll be at the game Saturday and look forward to my Nation’s Capitals beating the Lightning.
