Wharton School Keynote

I will be in Philly today delivering the keynote at the Wharton School’s Entrepreneurial program. This should be an enjoyable day as I will meet the Dean and some of the best and the brightest students after my speech. I will also get to see my son too.

We respect what traditional media is doing to cover our team and expand its readership and we respect and encourage fans that want to self express and develop blogs about hockey and the team. A rising tide raises all boats. Speaking of interactivity, I too am frustrated that the team continues its losing ways, losing 2-1 last night at Florida. Even though once again we played good defense; out shot the opponent; and stayed out of the penalty box by playing with discipline. I would like to ask some of you to please tone down some of the emails that are being sent my way. I really do empathize and embrace your passions and your concerns but some of the emails are crossing a line with curses, threats, requests and demands that are a bit harsh. I know there is a lot of keyboard courage out there and a lot of frustration. I am a fan too and I want to break my TV sometimes but with interactivity and access come a covenant to be conversational and straightforward in the emails. Please don
