Yuck. Second period – 2 shots on goal – 2 goals scored by Montreal.
Weird game. We dominate in every aspect yet on the scoreboard it looks like we got blown out. We no longer care about effort or optics; we just need points and results. We took a step backwards last night.
the biggest story of the night is the three gentlemen in 102 row F who wore the “gang green” shirts. the back featured “game over” written where names usually are on jerseys and the number 52 right under it. amazing.
Ted,
It was a loss but there’s something different about the team. Each shift has a different level of energy. I’m excited. With a little more D we have something I think. I didn’t like the loss but I like the way the team played.
sometimes you just run into the goalie who has a horseshoe firmly planted in his back side…
Like that kid the Penguins had still wearing the Manitoba Moose mask who beat us in the play off series… Hedburg I believe…
When OV missed a layup, I knew it was not the Caps night.
We definately need EVERY point we can get especially against the Habs who the Caps play three more times before the end of January. LETS GO CAPS
The rebuilding is over? I don’t think so. Free agents are mostly a bust, and the youngsters are not coming through. If Ovechkin gets away in free agency, watch attendance fall below 10,000 a night in 2009 (we’re not that far away from that now!)
I dont know why this team becomes so easily complacent. I think somehow, maybe the standards were TOO low with hanlon the last ouple of years, which doesnt necessarilly mean he didnt do a lot of good while coaching, just sayin’.
