When the Skins lost the game against Buffalo by a field goal, the media and many self-professed experts said the season was over. Joe Gibbs should retire. The team couldn’t recover from the death of Sean Taylor and its ongoing set of injuries. So here we are about a month later and with last night’s win, all the Skins have to do is win at home next week against the Cowboys and the Skins are in the playoffs. They will be one of the hottest teams in the NFL and the season will be a success and one to remember.

They get to playing for themselves and one another and shut out all distractions. They get some wins and some momentum and great things can happen. I am very happy for the Washington Redskins. Our city needed this good news and the team has responded with class, dignity, passion and confidence. Go Skins.
I think the Caps are moving in that direction and you can see it in their confidence, and ability to still score goals even when they get down by a couple….
My yard stick is forechecking getting too loose pucks…. putting it on net with minimum passes, it shows the desire to score, that is what keeps me coming back…
Merry Christmas Ted! It’s not over for the Caps yet either, but they can’t keep waiting to make up some ground! Let’s go Caps!
As a Bills fan, let me say that I never watched my team win a game and enjoyed it LESS than that game. I really felt horrible for the Redskins, who were obviously greif stricken. I am so happy to see them doing well and making a playoff push.
*And on a side note, we Sabre fan’s may boo AO when he’s in town, but remember, we only boo the BEST! I’m looking foward to the Winter Classic, I’ve got my tickets and it should be great time!
P.S. Keep up the good work Ted. I love the the blog!
I hate Dan Snyder with a passion, but I have to admit that he, Gibbs and the team handled Sean Taylor’s murder with class. If there is any justice, the RedSkins will make the playoffs and make some noise once they get there.
One day, hopefully in the near future we’ll be saying that about the Capitals. Caps, eat hearty this Christmas, for the rest of the season will be hell!
It’s great to see the Redskins in this position. Happy for the Skins players and coaches with all they’ve been through this year.
You have to always believe and i think the Caps can use this story to inspire them and turn the corner.
Work hard never quit, get a little luck and ride the momentum. Caps are next. They will make the playoffs this year. Let’s make this a great year for DC Sports!
Great blog Ted….I couldn’t agree with you more. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
