That is our collective priority. When you win and win championships, everything takes care of itself.

Here is a beautifully written story on the chemistry between Ovechkin and Backstrom. I was at the draft and saw Alex and Nicklas initially meet and how Alex greeted the Backstrom family. It was genuine and sincere. I also saw Alex do the same thing for all of our picks that day in Vancouver. He stayed at that draft the entire day taking photos; shaking hands; and talking to the draftees. He is an amazing person.

And while Nicklas and Alex look different and have different games, what they both share is pure competitiveness. They are both big time players that have been groomed to play their best in big games under pressure. Even at the Young Stars game Nicklas scored the winning goal.

I watched the Georgetown game on ESPN and was really happy with this win. Morgantown is a crazy place to play. It is loud, hostile, small, hot and just a great college basketball atmosphere. We keep winning close games in the Big East. The Hoyas are so well coached and mentally tough.
