I am going to show him a thing or two about ticking off Ovechkin.
Ted,
I had the pleasure of seeing the Caps defeat Montreal in overtime last night. That was a beautiful game! Ovechkin created scoring opportunities where none seemed to exist and the team played together at both ends of the ice with only a few lapses. I noted that Montreal pounced on those lapses to score their goals but it appeared to me that the CAPS outplayed them for most of the game. Ovechkin is amazing. The HABS did everything to stop him but it made no difference. He can score by himself as demonstrated in prior years, but he cannot win games by himself. Now it seems that his teamates are good enough that his scoring can translate into wins.
I played on club teams many years ago and still enjoy skating several time a week. I rarely get to attend an NHL game these days but last night’s contest was worth the wait.
WOW, I LOVE IT. How funny is it to see the canadian media try to paint him in a negative light now that they will never have him. One month ago when they were having their wet dreams he could do no wrong, now, ehh, hes not that special anymore. I LOVE IT! GO ALEX 13 more years!
He has a point, Ovechkin certainly will go down in history as one of the Caps franchise players. He is the face of this organization today.
However, at the same time, the team cannot allow themselves to slip into mediocrity behind Alex and hoping that he carries us through the season, and hopefully playoffs.
Everyone has to show up, everyone has to play 110%, and nobody can just do only the minimum necessary to get by. Stanley Cup teams are made around their depth and flexibility, not their superstars.
LOL!!! talk about eating crow!!! We all have to sometime…
That guy is MORON!!
I am writing him a letter as we speak.
