Leave early for the Caps vs. Rangers game. We just learned that a parade will be happening in Chinatown to celebrate the Year of the Rat. This may cause havoc with local congestion and traffic around the arena. Leave yourself enough time.

I Agree With The Donald
I was honored to give a speech at the UN last year in the main chamber and auditorium. I was amazed at what I saw. It looked exactly the same as when I toured it in the 6th grade: shag carpet, linoleum, bad lighting and wood paneling. It smelled like cigarettes and mold and old rotting food. It was cramped and creepy.
The technology and security infrastructure was circa 1975. The air conditioning wasn’t working. There were too many people trying to talk in the hallways with the bad acoustics. I was shocked at what I saw. And heard. Yuck. The UN needs to be modernized and ASAP. It shouldn’t take seven years to do it.
Favor
Can I ask you all to do me a favor? Nanking will open at the Avalon Theatre here in Washington, DC, on February 15th. Would you consider going to see it? It would mean a lot to me. Thank you so very much.
A Good Lesson
We got schooled by a veteran team yesterday. They came out like it was a playoff game and we struggled early to figure it out. We kept the puck in their end. We out shot them and they hung on for dear life but they got the two points and we got the early object lesson on how hard the rest of the season is going to be to play at a high level.

In games like this, there is less space to play aggressive offense. There are fewer opportunities to score and the power play unit becomes your best friend. We drew lots of penalties but we were zero for seven and that is the game in a nutshell. We also need to stay out of the box and I thought we took some very careless penalties last night but sometimes we play young and foolish. We make errors of commission. Last night was also the first time in a while that I said to myself "Tonight we really miss Michael Nylander, Chris Clark and Brian Pothier on the power play unit for their experience in games such as this one". I want to thank the fans for coming out. Verizon Center looks beautiful when it is filled and the arena is so loud when the fans are rocking. We had to turn some fans away. We literally ran out of tickets and for that I apologize. For the fans that came out, you deserved a better fate than a 2 to 1 loss.
Alternative Ways to Pay
Yep, there will be more and more options to pay online and to get paid online. Here is a nice mention of Revolution Money.
