Take The High Road

I find it so funny that a journalist for a petroleum-based product in a remote northern consumer market can be so smug about the center of the universe of the United States. :-) I wonder when the last time he visited our great city was.

I Know How it Feels…

I was once on a technology panel at a trade show in Atlanta and was being grilled by an editor of a well-known west coast based magazine. Of course, at the time, we had more than 20 million subscribers and his publication had about 500K paying circulation. As we got into the debate, he read some quotes from his review of our new software. However, as he went on, it became apparent that he had never once used our service or sampled the software or even knew from personal experience what he was talking about. I simply asked him on stage, "Pardon me. But have you ever used the service that you are reviewing and talking about?" He said,

It is Good to Have Some Pressure

It feels good to have pressure put on us to win. It is all part of the learning process and learning how to win is a natural part of the maturation cycle. It is great to have these discussions about our team in late February.

I hope we win. Today is important but, to be accurate, every game and every two points is important. While we want to win our division, we also want to qualify for the playoffs and we have to garner a lot more points to be where we want to be. Every game matters and the pressure is on for every point.
