Anything Else?

So far this weekend, I have been told via email that George should trade for a scoring winger; a big winger who can crash the net; another tough guy to play wing a la Darcy Tucker; a rugged D man or two; a young dynamic center; a fighter who we can add to line up alongside Donald Brashear; and a new goaltender. We were also told to find a Dale Hunter type leader who will mentor our young players. Some people want us to trade away young prospects and first round picks. Some want us to trade away our vets straight up for other vets.

How Many Posts and Cross Bars Can We Hit?

That was a great game but a tough OT loss, a loss where we pick up a point but feel unrewarded. I thought we outplayed the Devils throughout the game although their goal tender may be the best in the entire NHL. We hit a post and a cross bar again and only put one – in actuality – past Marty Brodeur to tie the game in regulation. I thought our goaltending was equally as good last night and that was a game played like a playoff game. We will take the point but we are running out of games. We need to capitalize and get two points every chance we have. In the last five games, a total of ten points were available to us and we only were able to garner four. In our last ten games, there have been 20 points to be had and we have only garnered 10. I will let you argue about what pace of play that is, 10 points out of 20 available isn
