  1. The Caps…they break my heart…every year…

Ted, I can’t take this pressure anymore!! I can’t even watch the games anymore because I’m so nervous and anxious. All I do is think about the Caps. I’m only in a good mood when they win. When they lose, I have a hard time getting over it. I really wish this season is over so I can get on with my life, then I can really focus on the important things in my life–family, job, friends, etc. I love the Caps too much!

  2. I was expecting to get 2 points over the weekend, but not in the order the Caps did. Alas, the Caps lately have been playing to the level of the competition, meaning that they play well agains the good teams (Minnesota, New Jersey) and then look lost against a team like Toronto.

Still the Caps control their own destiny, even being 5 points back of Carolina. A win tonight would be huge, and I have a good feeling about the upcoming games (they’re all against good teams, so we should play well…)

  3. Yes, last night was dreary, but husband and I had a wonderful experience on Friday evening when we finally got to see Nanking. Beautifully made story of such a horrifying event–you get kudos from these Caps fans (and documentary buffs) for putting together such a great filmmaking team! When will we get to see Kicking It?

  4. Do you think the Capitals will win 10 of the next 16 games?

That is what it will take to have a “decent” shot at making playoffs.

Can we keep up with the Hurricanes? Can we match their winning ways?

So many questions, so little time left for this team.

I want to hope they can pull it out, but it might just be a simple matter of too-little-too-late.

  5. Who is crying over spilled milk? just poorly made dicisions based on sentiment! Ok Olie was once a great goalie but now he is done. Just like a loved family pet who has lived beyond his time, it is time to put him down.

  6. Why can’t the Capitals step up for Olie? He carried them through an ugly three seasons,or better known as the Pre-Boudreau Era.

  7. When you re not even playing .500 hockey, how can it be 2 steps forward and one step back? Stop with the spinning. Getting outworked by one of the worst teams in the league, when they arrived at 3:00AM, 3rd game in 4 nights, in front of a sellout crowd? Biggest loss of the season, one I am sure the team will regret.

  8. They are just not ready yet as a playoff team. I have never understood how a team with 17 games left, knowing their playoff fate hangs in the balance can’t play 110% EVERY game. It is the most frustrating part of watching them. Which team will show up? The Leafs showed what it takes to win the games they have to win. The Caps didn’t.

    Plain and simple.

  9. Yea, very tough one to swallow. Especially with the Canes winning. Every game is so important now. The Caps have to bring the A game every night to pull this off. I doubt 2 out of every 3 is gonna get it done. The Caps need to reel off about 5 wins in a row.
