The Bruins have a great goaltender and they have Zdeno Chara, who engulfs Alex Ovechkin everywhere on the ice. He will play close to 30 minutes tonight. It is why we need a high scoring second line and a potent power play.
We are hopeful that Fedorov can help Alex Semin and make the second line equally as potent as our first line.

Chara really shouldn’t try to fight, should he? It got him into a non-fight with Brash, got him 5 minutes in the box, during which the Caps scored twice, taking the game from 2-0 to 4-0.
Chara’s 10 PIM going into the game meant a fight from him was not going to turn out well for him

Please stop doing video tributes to “Caps fans”. The one last Saturday featuring the “Wizard of 417″ with glowing orbs and wearing a cape was an embarassment.
Nobody in the NHL does it, please stop it now.
Why don’t you create some vingettes that mock the opposing team’s city. They do that all the time in Toronto – in fact a couple years ago when I went up there to support the Caps, they showed the “Put the Laser on Washington, DC” from Austin Powers and then meshed it with Independence Day with the white house being blown up etc. It was both funny and got the crowd going.
Instead – we have a guy with glowing orbs or red/blue and wearing a cape…. WOW!
