The biggest phenomenon for increasing our attendance this season has been the Student Rush program. We are getting 1,000 or more additional walk-up ticket sales on those nights. Promoting it on campus and on Facebook has been very effective. We have also grown our group sales efforts quite nicely as well. We need to sell more season tickets. Any help would be most appreciated.
I love the 6 pack plans I live about 3 hours away in Newport News so I can only make it to weekend games. The Rivals plan has been great though and I hope to spend 10 weekends next year in the phonebooth again
The student rush offer is great. Not only does it get more butts in the seats, but it gets energetic butts in the seats and helps create a more exciting atmosphere.
I am still awaiting the middle age married man with no kids night…
Dear Ted,
Find me a good job and a place to live in DC and I’m your newest season ticket buyer. Until then, I’ll be a crappy MA candidate milking the Student Rush tickets when she can drive down from Hershey.
Sincerely,
Teka

Ted,
Based on all the marketing and specials, I’m not sure what else you can do to get more season ticket holders. Just keep winning and the rest will take care of itself.
I can’t necessarily afford season tickets at this point and time, but I love the plans you offer (me and my dad got a 6-pack rivals plan). It is a very affordable way to enjoy the Caps and I hope you still have them available next season.
If you guys bring back the Student Rush next year, I promise I’ll go to every one and will buy season tickets in 09/10. Deal?
The Student Rush program is great! As a college student, I barely have enough money to make the two and a half hour drive to DC when I can. Its great to be able to afford to attend games (with the possibility of getting great seats)! Please consider setting more SR nights next season. Or what about making a few SR games available as a “package”?
Ted,
Check your posting about the economy earlier today when you met Greenspan and hyperlink that to my answer which is: “I’m very concerned about the state of the economy, and my ability to pay my mortgage/bills and my childcare and the other one on the way…vs thinking about Caps season tickets right now. sorry.
Ted,
If you opened up $25 lower level seats and $10 uppers your attendance would skyrocket from casual fans too. Just a thought.
