I also attended the Nanking presentation and was very, very impressed with everything. It really opened my eyes to a very bad occurrence that I do not remember my history classes at school covering. Four nights later I am still pleasantly amazed at the Chinese soldiers wishing no ill will upon modern day Japan for what happened. It reminded me that even after experiencing the horrors that they did, and the film showed how truly horrible war can be, that there still are a lot of positive things in the human spirit. I encourage everyone to see this film, it was eye-opening on many levels. Thank you very much for showing it at Archives.

Attended the presentation of your film Nanking at the Natl Archives last night and told my wife Pamola Powell of Atlanta how impressed I was by your remarks on “filmanthropy.” She sends her best.
