All teams have injuries. We have had our share with Michael Nylander, David Steckel, Brian Pothier, John Erskine and Chris Clark. Five starters are out for now. That group of players represents about a quarter of our payroll too. It is another positive sign for our team that we can be competitive and play very good hockey after losing this many players out of our lineup.

It is another positive sign for our team that we can be competitive and play very good hockey after losing this many players out of our lineup. It is gratifying that we have come this far missing our captain, Chris Clark. He does so many things for us: leadership in the locker room and on the ice. He goes into the corners and wins lots of battles. He goes in front of the net and generates traffic. He scores lots of goals; protects his teammates; and plays hard on the power play. It would be great to see him back on the ice this season.  Keep your fingers crossed.
