I am starting to think the referees are part of a sports cartel, or that they have states on a hockey outcomes betting business or that they are are bought and sold. The Caps need to score as many goals as they can! That’s the only way to go. Someone with a lot of free time, please start a website about referees gone wild or officiating offenders registry. Maybe we can use some old-fashion voo doo against our enemies in stripes, we seem to have many as the Caps push for the playoffs.
The NHL can make a lot of side money on allowing fans to purchase tomatoes to throw at bad referees after each game.
Yeah that diving call on Ovie was so shady! How are you going to call a trip and a dive?!!?!? That makes no sense! Semin is amazing and I think that he’s maturing as a player! I’m so excited to see what this team can accomplish the rest of the season! And next year is sure to be awesome! I’ll be in Chicago so the boys will be getting some support out there!
Someone please explain to me how it is possible to have one player called for a trip, and the player they tripped called for a dive. Impossible logic!
The bad news about the trip is that it’s 6 games. The good news is that Carolina is probably the best team the Caps see on it.
And the Caps are better than Carolina. And Nashville, Chicago, Atlanta, Tampa and Florida.
I doubt we can get 12 points, but you never know. The schedule, despite it being 3 home, 6 away, favors the Caps due to the quality (or lack thereof) of the opposition.

The diving call on Ovie late in the game has to be the worst call I have ever witnessed in a professional sporting event (well, except for the Jeffrey Raymond home run catch).
I thought that Semin’s shootout goal was incredibly creative. I’m not sure I’ve seen a guy do a hockey stop right in front of the goalie and then go top shelf like that before. He is an amazing talent.
Nashville is in the same position in the West. They will be very, very hungry.
You dont need to bite your lip on the Ovie dive call, that was just terrible…Have they not heard of Ovie? Has he ever intentionally given up on a play in his life?

It was great mental toughness by the team by not dwelling on the officiating. Boston can’t score a goal w/o help, I can’t see them making the playoffs.
