  1. Ted, I want to say thank you for NOT, I repeat, NOT putting trashy cheerleaders in place in the corners of the rink. I see them in place for a few teams, Carolina and Tampa to name a few. I understand that there are “reasons” to cater to all fans, but thank you sincerely for not stooping to the level of what I believe to be yet another downward turn for sports. Football, I understand, it’s traditional. Basketball, I don’t care about, nor pay attention to long enough to know if they even have cheerleaders, other than the Laker Girls. Are they considered Cheerleaders or a “dance squad”? Isn’t the game of hockey exciting enough without the addition of strippers, I know, you’re a dancer, sure? What next, cheerleaders for baseball? Maybe they should have cheerleaders. That sport is like watching a funeral procession. The only excitement is when you find out that your brother has been sleeping with your second cousin, Homerun!

In conclusion, thank you for keeping the game and the atmosphere family friendly and fun. We may not win them all, but it certainly a great ride throughout the season. Now let’s see what we can do about getting better coverage from local network news than 10 seconds at the bottom of the hour when we are in a playoff push.

  2. Thank YOU, Ted. You had the vision to build this team from the bottom up. Let’s hope the Nationals can do the same.

I’m driving 4 hours from school just to see the Caps clinch a playoff spot in the last home game!
