Thanks for setting the table here with facts. The numbers seem daunting. I am hopeful that all we do as a team is focus on game by game – getting two points in each game – and then let the chips fall where they may.

Al Davis said it best, “Just win, baby”. Whether it’s 3-0 like Saturday or 8-6 like up in Ottawa…just win.

Last night it was nice to see Jeff Halpern help out the caps again, all the way from Tampa bay. he scored the go ahead against Carolina that pulls the caps within a game of the southeast lead.

The passing last night was excellent. It was a great game all around. All the team can do is win the rest will take care of its self!

CAPS WIN DIVISION BY 2 POINTS!!!

Here is the scenario:

Tues, 4/1 – Caps beat Canes to tie for first, in points, SE division. However, Caps lose tie-breaker by virtue of one less win. (Lightning are waiting and resting up in Raleigh for Weds. game vs. Canes)

Weds, 4/2 – Tired and beaten up Canes lose to a rested Lightning team determined not to finish last in the division. Don’t worry, the draft is deep enough. Pride takes over for the Lightning. Caps resting at home.

Thurs, 4/3 – Caps beat a tired Lightning team. Thanks Canes! Caps lead division by 2 points over an idle Canes team. Still with one less win, but it doesn’t matter anymore, because we have more points.

Fri, 4/4 – Canes beat the Panthers in thier final game of the season. Canes tie Caps in points, but take over division lead by virture of having more wins.

Caps are home resting up for season finale.

Sat. 4/5 – Caps beat a tired Panthers team, and the Caps WIN THE SE DIVISION BY 2 POINTS!!! Thanks Canes!

2nd Place Canes 43-33-6 = 92pts

I bought a ticket to Tuesday nite

game to see how this all turns out. Great effort to make it to the playoffs and makes you want to look back at the 1 goal margins along the way..
