Funny Story

Monday, March 31st, 2008

A good friend who is a season ticket holder donated his tickets to a charity fundraiser for tomorrow’s game. He committed to the donation back in January.

The auction was held last weekend. My friend went to the auction - bid and won his own tickets back - so he will be in attendance at the game. How cool is that? Go Caps!

Perfect

I went to the Nationals Home Opener last night. It was perfect. The park is beautiful; great sight lines; and terrific food and services. My seats are row 2 on the Nats dugout. It’s so close you can hear the ball smack the catcher’s glove and hear the players trash-talking in the dugout.

The game was fun and Mark Lerner came and sat with us in the 8th inning. The score was tied and when Ryan Zimmerman came up to bat I said, "Mark - He is a star. This is a huge stage. He will end it with one swing to make a perfect Hollywood ending." Wouldn’t you know it? Two pitches later and "it was gone baby, gone". Mark and I hugged and laughed. What a perfect night.
