In the aggregate, they are worth less than the Caps and Wizards combined or one NFL team. That puts it in perspective.

OK – What Do You Think?
Everyone says we look alike. If we do, he stole my move.
Two Steps Forward – One Step Back
We played very well last night. We got two points but Carolina tied the score in regulation on a funky goal and also got a point. So we are now four points behind them with five games left to play and with one game against them next Tuesday night. Carolina’s first goal was also a gift off of Boyd Gordon’s skate.

Boston and Philadelphia also won last night so we didn’t gain ground on them although we did put a little bit of distance between Buffalo and Florida and us. Congratulations to Alex Ovechkin for scoring his 61st goal of the season, a new Caps record for goals scored. I thought our team was sharp and focused last night. Two more games on the road this week and then we come home for the last home stand. I am hopeful we can have three sellouts to end up the season, too.
Kudos to Eric
I just re-read the bloggers’ bill of rights. It still stands up to the test of time. The welcome mat is down here in DC to the blogosphere and to MSM. All are welcome. The more the merrier.
Bucci on Ovie…
Smart – very smart.
Thank you.

I am very excited. I was invited to tape some questions for "Its Academic" that will test students
Now What?
I filled up my gas tank today and it cost more than $60.
Gas here is almost $3.70 per gallon. OPEC has us over the barrel, don’t they? It is a perfect storm. They won’t increase production. We use more and more oil and now India and its 1.2 billion people and China and its 1.3 billion people are all our fellow consumers of natural resources, buying cars and sucking down petrol. My bet – gas will be more than $4 per gallon at the pump by the time the new President gets sworn in. The oil companies will have record profits each and every sequential quarter and then the new President will figure out how to tax the oil companies on their excess profits. This is not a pretty cycle. For my next car, I am definitely buying some kind of hybrid.
A Few Comments on my Blog
A few comments on my blog from readers have requested that I stop writing about the plight of traditional media with a focus on print-based properties.
I find these requests ironic as the reason I blog is to get things off my chest and to share my point of view on things that strike my fancy at that particular time. Journalists basically can write and say whatever they want. I sometimes use my blog as a way to respond, tweak and have some fun. It isn’t that fair of a virtual fight trust me. They buy ink by the ton. I have a few keystrokes to respond with and a few interested readers to enlighten. So don’t worry and don’t feel sorry for MSM. They will be fine with me or without me blogging about them on rare occasion. I have now done about 2,100 entries to date on my blog. I think I will just now add Newspaper Death Watch to my blog roll and let them tell the story on a daily basis.
Dave Johnson Rocks :-)
Every time I see Dave, he tells me how excited he is about Caps hockey. Thanks Dave for the support.
