  1. It was easier to get tix for game #4 in Philly. I’m a Caps fan and will be there. Couldn’t get them for games 1 or 2. The bs bulk ticket purchasers are full of tickets at ridiculous prices. When will game 5 be avialble as I would like to get them.

  4. Ted – years ago you secured some tickets in the mid level for LOCALS only… is there any way you might be doing this again?! We are dying to go see our boys play!

  6. Do both teams need to lose a game before Game 5 tickets go on sale? I don’t want to jinx the Caps; but I also don’t want the building filled with orange and black should the Flyers win a game.

  7. Looks like Caps fans did a good job of buying tickets and keeping flyers fans out. Maybe after we win game#1 tickets should go on sale at VC for a potential game#5. This would help minimize/ eliminate Flyers fans from obtaining them. Just a thought. Hopefully we don’t need five games. LET’S GO CAPS!

  9. I guess everything is sold out for Game 2? I just tried to buy the tix and could not find any anywhere. It really should be a lot easier – sell the darn things dirct from your web site! I know, I know, NHL policy dictates that, but it is a shame. If I have to spend more than 2 minutes looking I give up.

  11. Ticketmaster still does not have any tix shown for the first 2 games at home. Are the games sold out? Let’s keep the Flyer fans in PA.

  13. I just ignored the 12/30/2008 stuff -bought my ticket last night – the ticket prints out as Round 1, Game 1 (or Game 2)

  20. How do you buy them on-line when the ticketmaster page shows ONLY a playoff date for the Caps of 12/30/2008??? Exactly what day am I buying for???

    I wish it were that easy.

    Been by ebay lately??? Doesnt matter if the games sell out in 10 min. All it means is that the brokers are loading up. Guess if we’re gonna put up with Flyers fans we can take some solice in the fact that they paid over gate.

  27. Bought my first round tix last night as soon as the game ended. I’m a lifelong Caps fan now living in Baltimore. Can’t wait to see the Caps in the playoffs this week!!

  28. Ted- I’ve only been to one CAPS game this year an I’m very upset about that…is there anyway of gettin any tix for the first round please. I’m a diehard fan and want to support my CAPS. I watch the CAPS every night on CSN and wear my jersey while I watch it. If there is anyway of getting any tickets I would deeply appriciate it. I also read your blog everyday. Thanks Ted.

  29. We need an all Caps crowd for both home games. I have my tickets for game#1 and #2. I hope all Caps fans get their tickets in the next few hours. No Flyers or Sens fans. LET’S GO CAPS!!

    We must protect and support our house!!!

    Our boys have fought to hard for this to have our house overrun w/ opposing teams fans.

    We have to show our support.

    Get on the stick and get those tickets. It’s gonna be awesome and it would be ashame to see fans locked out of the playoff games.

  31. OK You fair weather fans, the weather at Verizon Center looks great so step up and buy those tickets. We loyal fans (season ticket holders)have had to put up with out of town fans because you have no foresight or loyalty so now you get a chance to redeem yourselves.Step up buy an Jersey or a new red shirt get some tickets and be part of the action instead of watching it at home. If I have to see a damn Flyers or Ottawa fan at our arena during the playoffs I will flip!

  33. Ted is right. If we get the Flyers in the first round, our building could be “loaded” with Flyers fans. We don’t want that do we? The team has done their part – please help all of us keep our house safe and “red”.
