How Sweet It Is…

Check out these standings. It is amazing to see us at the third spot ready to take on the Flyers in round one of the playoffs.

Check out these standings. It is amazing to see us at the third spot ready to take on the Flyers in round one of the playoffs. It is fitting we are playing Philly. We are the two teams that improved the most over last season in terms of wins and points. We have a long storied rivalry with the Flyers in the playoffs. They finished one point ahead of us in the standings and my son goes to school in Philly so he can join me on the road games. It is equally amazing that we finished with the same amount of points as Ottawa. They started the season on a 15 and 2 run proving that it is not how you start…it is how you finish.

  1. Get the event staff ready. Loads of drunk Philthadelphians are on there way. Tie down your jersey Ted

  2. I worry about the Flyer fans, up where my seats are they (flyer fans) can be a bit overly extroverted and unreasonably short with our own home team enthusiasm.

  3. The capitals have come a long way!! I am very proud of them.I am from central Pa and have seen Bruce in action so many times with the Hershey Bears and I believe the Caps made a wonderful decision on bringing him down to D.C. to coach! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

  4. Now your son can make all the games in the first round since it is Philly. As long as he gets his homework and studying done.

  5. Actually, I would say the take away from the Ottawa start is that how you start is exactly as important as how you finish. Two points in October are worth the same as two points in April. Granted, I’d rather be on the up-swing like the Caps rather than a free fall like the Sens.

Either way, congrats. Can’t wait till friday. GO CAPS!
