As part of our strategy regarding our rebuild, I promised that the new Washington Capitals would integrate the Kettler Capitals Iceplex and the Hershey Bears affiliation as integral parts of our franchise’s core DNA and system.

 We wanted to create an AHL franchise relation that helped us develop our players into a system that was comfortable for our players as they entered the NHL and to get a taste of winning and team work plus allow them to bond together as teammates. Well, we made good on that promise as this article outlines.

3-0 vs. The Celtics

I went to the Wizards game last night with some friends. It was great to see the team back together after a long bout of injuries. Also, Gilbert Arenas is back; playing smart basketball; trying to integrate himself into the lineup; and providing a burst of energy for the team.

Also, Gilbert Arenas is back; playing smart basketball; trying to integrate himself into the lineup; and providing a burst of energy for the team. Something tells me that the team will be dangerous come playoff time. The Celts are the team to beat in the East and we seem to play quite well and match up strongly against them.

We picked up size, talent and a local connection at yesterday’s WNBA draft. We are excited that Crystal Langhorne of Maryland can step in right away and play a lot of minutes for the team. Come on out to some games this summer.
