I love that Russia’s favorite team outside of Russia!
After every game lately I’ve wanted to yell : “Our Russians are better then your Russians!”
It’s long overdue. I can remember coming home from amazing games this season and watching the 11:00 news (especially Overchkin’s 4-goal game against Montreal), and channel 4 barely had 10 seconds on it at the end of the sports segment. NOW they’re tripping all over themselves to talk about the Caps. All season, I kept thinking to myself, ‘we have this amazing once in a lifetime athletic with a huge hockey spirit, and the TV news hardly covers it?’ IT’S ABOUT TIME! Also, go back and check the Sports Illustrated predictions from the beginning of the year (the one that had Jeff Schultz having been sent to another team???).
