I’ve been a CAPS fan since 1983. I lived in Annapolis for a time and had to relocate outside Philadelphia so this series is going to be especially fun. Have tixx to Game 5 if necesssary. GO CAPS!!!!
Ted, First the game was absolutly awesome, it was great to see the whole place in red. The metro ride home was intresting when 3 Flyers fans got on….they we “booed” all the way to their stop. The atmospher around the booth hours befor the game was awesome. Im def. proud to be wearing the RED. I was a little let down when they didnt play the Foo Fighters song befor the game, Dont change anything we dont want bad JOO JOO, C*A*P*S, CAPS CAPS CAPS
It was great to see so many Caps fans in red & cheering so loud! As a season ticket holder I’m impressed with the how the fan base has grown. Also, I have no problem with you calling to encourage us to buy tickets & to get Caps fans to the VZ Center. Two years ago the I believe the ‘Canes banned ticketmaster sales to any buyer who wasn’t from a surrounding state. I’m glad that you didn’t have to resort to that! Also, I was happy to see the new menu options for the playoffs – I wish that more of those food options were available during the regular season. Thanks!
I was proud of the Caps and all the fans. Very few flyer fans and the one’s that were there were intimidated and in awe of the Red Sea. A true home ice advantage. The atmosphere topped any Caps game i’ve ever attended. I rested on Saturday recuperated and got my beauty sleep. Now i’m ready to roar with the rest of the red sea on Sunday. LET’S GO CAPS!! LET’S ROCK THE HOUSE AGAIN!!!
I am a season ticket holder and I have been buying extra tickets for friends. I sell them only to friends who are big Caps fans and only for the price I paid. I hope all the other STHs will do the same. Let’s counter both the Flyer’s fans and the people scalping tickets on Craigslist by continuing to do this.
Our rink is developing a real personality. We’re loud, we’re positive, we’re red and best of all we’re completely in tune with our team. We’re one organism and it’s incredible!!
Just one request: while you and the marketing team consider playoff giveaways, just keep the red towels comin! PLEASE no thundersticks.
I don’t see how you could get in trouble at all for trying to keep out of town fans from attending the games. Its our team, our arena, and our city. If you want to make sure that the fans in the stands will be rooting for us, then that is your prerogative as the owner. If we don’t want to see Flyers fans at our Playoff games then I don’t see what is wrong with encouraging our fans to get there first. Its all part of the game, part of the competition, and its our right. Other cities are allowed to do the same to keep Cap’s fans from their games. No one wants to see their games packed with the away team’s fans. It is nice to see that finally the majority of fans there are all Cap’s fans. I’ve hated watching Cap’s games where it seemed that the away team’s cheers were louder then our’s. The last few games have been an excellent change, although it seemed that the fans last night weren’t as loud as in previous games, but that might just have appeared so on TV.
Keep up the good work Ted, lets show them that Verizon center is where the Cap’s live, and its where Cap’s fans fill the seats, and if you’re not a Cap’s fan, then good luck trying to get a ticket.
My voice is gone, my throat hurts, and my ears are still ringing. What a GREAT game!!! I’m proud of the Caps and the fans. Even after we were down by two no one gave up. The fans kept cheering, the Caps kept fighting. You just can’t beat that kind of heart.
What a fantastic game! Been a caps fan since 1989, so this was sweet! Two Caps fans from Saskatchewan.
Mr. Leonsis-
As both a sports and movie fan, I love the stuff the marketing and production crews have been putting on the HD-Jumbo all season. But, I have an issue with one of the clips last night…
The montage of “Rocky” clips where he is getting beat down by Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago. While it is nice to see a Philly icon getting his butt whooped…Rocky ALWAYS comes back to win in the end! This is absolutely what we don’t want to happen in this series!!!
*HONK* *HONK* *HONK* LET’S GO CAPS!
Thank you

It will be interesting to see, if we need a Game 5 and Game 7, if the Booth is still filled with Caps fans.
The reason I say this is because Caps fans came out in full force to purchase for Games 1 and 2 before we knew we were playing the Flyers.
This didn’t give Flyers fans much time to buy up all our tickets.
Ted, I was truely impressed to see a sea or Red last night. I figured to see patches of Orange but there had to have been less than 100-200 Flyers fans there which is truely impressive! Kudos to Caps Fans and season ticket holders for snatching up extra tickets and only selling them to Caps fans. I bought 8 extra tickets to Game 5(if necessary) to sell to CAPS fans only. And I’m not making a dime on those tickets. My reward is seeing a sea of RED!! Go Caps!!
Congratulations on an amazing win! Caps all the way! And thanks for supporting George Mason and the basketball team. I hope the Caps and Wizards have better luck in the postseason.
First time since I’ve been a season ticket holder that we’ve owned the house against the Flyers and it was great, walking the concourse with nothing but red and only the very occasional orange Flyers jersey. Rock the Red!
