Last season, I would tell him how I thought he had one of the best skating styles and would be one of the best stick handlers in the league. I counseled him to be patient as it would all come together for him and for our team. He is another foundational player in the rebuild of our franchise. He forms a part of our Young Guns group; came as part of the rebuild; and is emerging as a Norris trophy candidate. I am sure glad we made those trades to get those picks to be able to draft and develop Mike Green. Aren’t you?
