I listened to the telecast in horror when Mr. Milbury berated OV for his performance something to the statement “he is playing like an immature 20 year old”. I think one of the best players in the game, if not the best player, deserves a pass for a poor performance. I understand it is the NHL playoffs but it’s a long roller coaster series and isn’t OV the main reason the Caps are in the playoffs? Trying to be outlandish on the broadcast certianly got Mr. Milbury some attention he is obviously craving. He should consider flying under the radar because the attention he is receiving can only be appreciated by a select few and has alienated the majority. It is no wonder Mr. Milbury is no longer a major player in a hockey franchise. I am a believer in the book “All I Really Need To Know I Learned in Kindergarten” by Robert Fulghum. Perhaps Mr. Milbury is a victim of early childhood truancy.
I don’t like the bias, and think there is something behind it (more than bad play that day) at some level, but it doesn’t surprise me.
We will not get default respect in the hockey (or even general sports) world until we prove something. We all know what that is, and we are on that path.
I think this is all great stuff to motivate the team, and I hope the video team uses it to “encourage” us for tonight. LETS GO CAPS!!!!
Well said.. he makes the exact right point. forgiving is one thing. forgetting is another. i dont want to watch another game with milbury behind the desk. this is not a first time offense with him
