IT’S JUST SICK THE AMOUNT OF CRAP THAT CITY GETS AWAY WITH. I HAD A BOTTLE BROKEN OVER MY FACE BACK IN THE 80′S THE “POLICE OFFICER” I APPROCHED ON HORSEBACK DAMN NEAR RAN ME OVER AND TOLD ME TO “GO BACK TO YOUR OWN CITY BOY”
THIS FROM A POLICE OFFICER.
THE BUS I WAS ON WAS ROCKED TO THE POINT WHERE THE COLLECTIVE THOUGHT IT WOULD TURN OVER. I KNOW THIS IS WRONG BUT WHEN THE POLICE DO NOTHING, YOU INSERT YOUR OWN BRAND OF JUSTICE AND I HAVE ON PHILLY FANS FOR 20 YAERS.
Mr. Leonsis you are a braver soul than I. Love the comment to Maximus. Will remember that one Saturday. I STILL BELIEVE.

I admire your objectivity and love of the game. As a parent watching from home I worry less about the fights during the game than the commercials for hard liquor on TV during the breaks

Philly is just a rough and dirty team.
We don’t have to sink to their level, but we definitely need to stand up for ourselves and show them that we are a force to be reckoned with. Hockey games are not won with diplomacy- it takes determination and strength.
I still believe. If I can convert a long time Philly fan to cheer on the Caps this year than it is possible for us to win this series!

Don’t stop Believin’! It’s a rivalry that goes back forever. I remember nearly being phyically attacked at Cap Center as a young girl. EWW. Fans in Philly are relentless … but not ALL are bad (I have some good friends & family up there). We just need to make our adjustments and WIN in Thursday. GO CAPS!
I was there as well and I completely agree with “DrCapsfan.” Mind you, I’ve never heard more use of the F word in my life; ever. I brought 3 friends with me (we sat 2 and 2). My friends I wasn’t with had to be escorted out after the game it was so bad. My car had beer spilled on it and it had no caps parafinalia, just VA plates. It was a disgrace. I’m glad our fans don’t act anything like that. I look forward to watching game 4 on TV and being back in Verizon Center Saturday.
It never ceases to amaze me what people will do once they have a lot of liquid courage in them.

I was there with a few others. I’ve never been physically threatened for just wearing an out-of-town teams jersey before. Boo’s and Jeers are expected but when you hear the words Kill, rape, etc and etc in the parking lot it’s pretty classless.
The Caps will win Thursday night and #8 will have a big game.

I was there, too. Horrible atmosphere to bring children. Flyers fans are mostly classless, rude and obnoxious.
I will say that there were some that were classy and good to talk to. I don’t want to generalize too much, but overall, it was ugly.
More than 5 of us, Caps fans. I think I saw between 20-30 that I saw. Hopefully, the CRC can bring some reinforcements for tomorrow.
It is so great that the Caps and Flyers are great again. It is an awesome rivalry!!!
I agree that we Caps fans need to step back and chill a bit. I think for us old-timers who have been around since the early days, it is very tough to lose a physical playoff game to the Flyers. The hate is so strong for that team and their fans, that a loss is almost unbearable. I pray we regroup in game four.

Went to the game last night and can tell you that the fans were relentless. Wouldn’t bring the wife and kids.
Only saw 4 other Caps fans there. Can’t wait until Caps fans start traveling for big games.
Can’t remember the first rule of fight club, but I’m pretty sure the second rule has something to do with “not talking about Fight Club” or something.
In any case, I hope Bruce is following the rules with the media but preaching a different tune in the locker room. These kids need a good talking to.
