Thank you. Go make us proud at ESPN now. See you tonight at the game. Go Caps!

With regrets I will no longer be purchasing my season ticket package. I was so disgusted after the “non-call”
for goalie interference in lst night’s (game 7) event.
THe refs are either so horrible or they have no integrity. Either way it’s not something I want to be subjected to again. Every play that can decide the fate of a game should be reviewable, no ifs ands or buts.
Until that changes, Hockey is a flawed game.
Best of luck, you are a wonderful owner~!

First let me say what a great season we had. The way this team came together and the way Bruce connected with them and never let them give up was amazing. It made us the most exciting team in the NHL. THANK YOU CAPS!
These guys made me want to buy my season tickets again and not miss out on the action.
As for the season ending the way it did last night was devestating to me. I took off work today to collect myself and get my voice back.
I have been a Caps fan since day one and believe me it wasn’t easy in the early years. But to see the crowds at the home games down the stretch and into the playoffs and the energy of the building was just unbelievable.
I have always been prouud to be a Caps fan and I know with this group of players and this coaching staff we will have a lot of good years a head of us.
Keep your heads up Guys. Even though the season is over, know that you made us proud and feel like the new
Hockeytown.
Ted,
After watching the Flyers OT goal go in, and feeling the ensuing agony, my first thought was, “I feel like my heart’s been ripped out,” and then, “I haven’t felt like this for a decade. THIS IS AWESOME!” I immediately felt better about things. You and the boys have made me a Caps fan again if I can get excited about the team the way I used to. Even better is that the Caps seem poised to make the post-season a regular occurrence for years to come. Congratulations on a job well done.
One criticism: if Ovie is gonna be on TV so much, ya’ll need a better dental plan!
GO CAPS!
Ted, you have done an amazing job turning DC into a hockey town. I am proud of our team, proud to be a hockey fan, and excited to see what next year brings. I firmly believe that we will have a fantastic season next year. GO CAPS!
This was my first year as a season ticket holder (in the upper level) and I will be back for next year (in the lower level). I never knew I could love a sport or a team as much as I do this one! Thank you Caps, for a fabulous season and for teaching me how much heart and drive can do. I was there in Nov when things were so bad and we were worst in the entire league, and I was there to see the team take the Division and then move to the playoffs. And I will be there next year when it will only get better.
Ted, you’ve done a fabulous job building this team, and there will be a wonderful future ahead. The only sadness in my heart this morning is to read about Olie removing his nameplate and refusing to talk to anyone last night. He has been so good for this team for so many years, this is not the way for him to exit. If he is going to retire (or move on), we need to have a fabulous party to thank him and celebrate all that he’s meant to the Caps for so many years. He is in a class all his own, and class is required to do this right. Just because the games are over doesn’t mean he just walks away. He was part of what got us where we are today, and set up to take tomorrow.
All inperfection, whether we can see it or not. Mkae it end the right way, Ted.
Thanks for a fabulous season and a GREAT team!
Toni
The Caps were robbed … not getting a call for the blatant goalie interference was really unjustified. But it was a great season, and the everyone associated with the team has nothing to be ashamed of!
Thank you Ted. Over the last several years you have invested a lot of effort (and money) trying to bring an exciting hockey team to D.C. It definately paid off this year. From last place half way through the season to winning the division!! Caps definately have a lot to brag about. See you next year!
Ted — Thanks for re-igniting DC sports fever, especially your committment to the Caps. The Kardiac Kids were one shot away from moving on–which is where they should be in April 2009. The youth movement has really paid off along with a lot of patience, astute additions of more mature players such as Federov, and a very gutsy coaching change.
I understand that it was a hard way to lose in overtime, but do you think you can do anything to this fan that threw the beer bottle. I know we get a bad rap in Philly but this is a little ridiculous.
Thanks for the amazing year Ted. It’s hard to win a game seven when you’re facing two teams. The orange and white and the black and white. Totally lame result to a playoff game 7. Not the time for amateur officiating (hell amateurs make better calls) I know you have to be respectful on the subject but it really burns.
Thanks again!

Thanks to the Caps for a wonderful season. Didn’t end the way we wanted, that’s for sure. But I stop to remember where we were(n’t) at this same time last year and the pain of losing to Philly tonight sure beats the empty feeling of missing the playoffs last year.
One thing’s certain: we’ll be there again next year — a little more ready for the playoffs, a little wiser and with all the Rocking Red fire we found this year.
WE ROCKED THE ICE WIN OR LOOSE!!!! THANK YOU TED FOR EVERYTHING AND FOR OVIE…WE HAD A GREAT SEASON AND WE ARE GOING TO ROCK EVEN BETTER NEXT SEASON!!! LETS GO CAPS !!!! GREAT JOB BOYS AND COACHES!!!!
I’m sorry, Ted. The Flyers just received a hand-me-down game from the bad calls from THE so-called “veteran referees” throughout this last game 7. They missed a lot of calls that cost the Caps the game; and, yes, I am talking about the obvious so-called “goalie interference” call that the refs TOTALLY missed and cost us to go into an unnecessary overtime. I think the league needs to re-think this whole goalie interference idea, and any new “minor penalty” for that matter, before making it NHL official. Needless to say, during the playoffs is NOT the time to do that. OH…and some referee training is DEFINITELY needed before the next season.
I will say, on a lighter note, that it was a WONDERFUL SEASON to see the Caps come up as far as they have this season. My husband and I are REALLY looking forward to cheering Ovie, Olie, Gordon, and the rest of the team next season. Congrats Caps!! You have made your fans proud no matter the outcome!! I will be sporting my red tomorrow in honor of your achievements.
LET’S GO CAPS!! LET’S GO CAPS!! LET’S GO CAPS!!
I’m heartbroken, but you and the team have nothing to be ashamed of. I was a great season and a thrilling series. Thank you.
See you in October!
just wanted to say thanks for a great season ted! we appreciate everything you’ve done. next year
I live in South Carolina now. I used to be in N.Va., and I’ve got the NHL tv package and watch all I can. I’ll be in red in my living room tonight just rooting my tail off. GO CAPS…make us proud to be fans of the hardest working team in sports.
Bram Weinstein was one of the few bright lights at WTEM and one of the few guys there who didn’t treat the Caps as an afterthought. He will be missed.
