  1. traffic or no traffic, I wouldn’t trade this area for anything else. I love this area and the people and the culture and the diversity and the Caps…..

  2. no way, I grew up there though have been in Los Angeles since late 2002. I don’t know how they figured that out but traffic in LA is much worse than DC.

ps: Congrats on a great playoff run. Still a diehard Caps fan even though I’m in California.

  3. I honestly think that most of our traffic problems are caused by driver error–both big and (seemingly) small. Let’s face it, it’s too easy to get a driver’s license. And if we’re going to let folks drive and use a cell phone at the same time–MAKE IT PART OF THE DRIVER TEST. “I’m sorry, sir, you slowed 20mph as soon as you started speaking on your phone. You failed the test. Here’s the bus schedule.”

Sorry, this hit a nerve. Obviously. :)

    PS Go Caps!

  4. It all about OPM (other peoples money). Walmart is Fortune’s 500 #1 Company in terms of top line revenue with revenue of 269 billion dollars, US Defense Spending spending alone is 965 Billion. Add in the other federal agencies and it totals 2.9 trillion. So think of it like 7-8 Walmart headquartered all located here in DC. Like vultures surrounding a dead carcass, the bigger the carcass the more vultures circling.
