Nicklas Backstrom Deserves the Award

Nicklas is a great young player; a great big game performer; and a very nice young man. We are all proud of him and are so looking forward to his development in a Washington Capitals uniform.

In an ordinary year, any of the three nominees (Toews, Kane, Backstrom) would be running away with it. Think about it too, Carey Price, Montreal’s goalie didn’t even get nominated, but the Habs thought enough of him to trade Cristobal Huet to the Caps! An amazing rookie class, on a par with 2006 (with Ovechkin, Crosby, Phanneuf, Kopitar…)

    Good luck to Nick! :)

I THOUGHT NICK PLAYED WITH EYES IN THE BACK OF HIS HEAD, JUST LIKE THE COMMERCIAL WHEN HE COULD SEE 4 FINGERS BEHIND HIM. SOME OF HIS ASSISTS WERE AMAZING, ALONG WITH HIS GAME WINING GOALS THAT HELPED THE CAPS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY PLAYER WITH SUCH PATIENCE AND POISE. WATCH OUT NHL TEAMS, NEXT YEAR WILL BE THE STANLEY CUP YEAR WITH THIS GROUP OF GUYS, THEY ARE ONLY GOING TO GET BETTER. THANKS CAPS FOR AN EXCITING SEASON, I TRUELY ENJOYED IT. NICK TRUELY DESERVES THE AWARD.
