Dear Ted
First and foremost I am a huge supporter of yours, and George too. My boys and I have been fans through thick and thin and we have been season ticketholders for many years.
On many occasions I have asked you to support Ft Dupont Ice Arena, and you have always done so, generously and without hesitation, as have the Caps as an organization. I am hoping you could use your blog to help support the expansion and upgrade of the facilities. As you are aware, the proposal entails buidling a baseball academy as well as a second pad of ice on the current Ft Dupont site. There will be a community meeting on Monday May 12th and we are trying to mobilize community support. Given your blog is so widely read by many area hockey supporters, perhaps you could help spread the word about the petition and the proposed expansion. Details are at http://www.fdia.org

Well, from the Fairfax Times no less! Given their blogger’s fandom for the Pens a little over a month ago, glad to see they’ve finally figured out that there is a substantial CAPS fan base in Fairfax County and that you and the Caps organization have done a great deal to bring the team into contention. A little call to the editor never hurts.
