Did you see that 111 of 146 eligible at Newsweek took the package? Yow! That’s cutting payroll. But it’s the first step, and had to be taken much like the Caps did before the lockout. It will be interesting to see how the Post and Newsweek operate in their new cost certainty. I’m confident that much like the Caps plan and subsequent ascendancy, they’ll be successful too. This 32 year reader of the Post is counting on it!
