I see good news Ted, but it’s a bit the horizon. When the likes of THINKfilm go the way of dinosaurs and digital, direct to consumer distribution takes place, indie films (and music, TV etc) will take off in the “Long Tail” as promised by Chris Anderson. As an example, I’d like to see both Nanking and Kicking It, but I don’t get the cable channel Nanking was on and it’s tough to drive/train the 37 miles to theater in the Village that is showing Kicking It. However, if/when I can download them and watch them on my schedule – you’ll have a customer then.
