I just saw my first $4.00 per gallon gas price! Gas prices are out of control. Here is a good resource to find the best value on gas prices in your area.
Food prices are up. The cost of milk is up.
Consumers can’t get loans and their homes aren’t worth what they paid for them.
Whoever wins the Presidency will have to deal with the economy first and foremost. They must deliver us the basics: safety, a good economy and belief in the American dream that the world will be better for our children than it was for us.
It is almost summertime. Gas prices are up so vacations will be curtailed. There is no reason for gas to be $4 per gallon. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gas costs what it costs. By the end of the year it will probably be $4.50 a gallon but it won’t stop me. I’m still planning a drive to Virginia Beach for Memorial Day and drive to the Outer Banks for a week in August and a drive to South Carolina over Thanksgiving. I don’t own an SUV, never will and I’ll cut back on baseball games, movies and concerts. You do what you have to do.
I don’t think the government can really fix this problem because they are too long in bed with the corporations. It will most likely have to be resolved through decreasing demand. I’ll still drive to all the Capitals games next season since in cost less than the train to drive and park for the three or more of us to come down from Baltimore (for now).
However, I don’t see us driving as much as we used to. If they could link DC to Baltimore better, maybe.
If I had millions or even better billions, then I would feel it was my responsibility to sponsor alternative energy ideas. Can we put nano solar panels on top of the Verizon Center?
