Fedorov. Ovechkin. Semin. They are all big time national heroes over in Russia right now. And deservedly so. The President of Russia has invited them all to the Kremlin and there will be a major ticker tape parade thrown in their honor. We are proud of our players who won the gold medal. We are also proud of all of our other players who excelled at the World Championship including Huet, Green, Backstrom, Fleischmann and Lepisto.

It was a great showing by the Caps at the Worlds. Let’s hope there’s no repeat because they’ll still be playing in DC next May and June!
